Persona Q2 Trailer

What Is Persona Q2?

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth was the spin-off of a spin-off with some roots in the Etyrian Odyssey series. For those who are unfamiliar, Persona Q was a spin-off of the Persona series of high school-setting RPGs , which in turn, was a spin-off of the Megami Tensei series. Said game was a crossover that featured characters from both Persona 3 and Persona 4, so it should come as no surprise to learn that the upcoming Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth is set to feature characters from Persona 3Persona 4, and Persona 5.

What Can People Expect from Persona Q2?

Since Persona 5 is the latest installment in the Persona series, it is natural that Persona 5 characters will be receiving the most time in the spotlight. However, it has been confirmed that Persona 4 and Persona 3 characters will be becoming playable in that particular order. Moreover, it has been confirmed that the female protagonist of Persona 3 Portable will have an important role in Persona Q2‘s story, which is something that could have interesting implications for the series as a whole.

Mechanics-wise, some things will be remaining the same whereas other things will be seeing some changes. For instance, no playable character will have the power of the Wild Card but all playable characters will be able to equip a second Persona, which is something that is being carried over from Persona Q. In contrast, it has been said that Persona Q2 players won’t be able to choose different routes that follow the casts of different Persona games, which might come as a disappointment to some of those who remember that particular feature from Persona Q with great fondness.

Regardless, interested individuals can expect Persona Q2 to follow in the footsteps of Persona Q. As a result, if they are a fan of multiple Persona games, they should consider checking it out, particularly if they happen to enjoy dungeon crawlers.
