It seems that Intellivision wants to make a comeback to the console market. Its plan involves the Intellivision Amico, which will feature a combination of retro classics and new releases, thus making it similar but not quite the same as the other retro consoles that have been hitting the market in recent times.
Supposedly, the Intellivision Amico is meant to cater to the casual segment of the video game market, which the people behind it believes to be under-served by the current offerings that can be found out there. Should their analysis of the situation prove to be true, that could enable them to carve out a foothold in a hotly contested market.
