Rage 2 Has Been Released

Rage 2 has been released. For the most part, it is pretty simple and straightforward in nature, meaning that interested individuals should have no problems coping with whatever surprises come at them. However, said process can be made even easier with the right information, which is why they might want to take a look at some of the tips and tricks that can be found out there.

Interested in Some Rage 2 Tips and Tricks?

Consider these tips and tricks for Rage 2:

Shoot the Crates

It is perfectly understandable for players to melee supply crates for their contents. After all, playing through Rage 2 takes a lot of ammunition, meaning that they have strong reason to save it for actual enemies. Unfortunately, hitting the supply crates with melee is more challenging than it seems, meaning that if players are having a hard time, they should just save themselves the time and effort by shooting them with a gun that they still have plenty of ammunition for. Fundamentally, the point of a shooter is to have fun, meaning that if something is getting frustrating, it is time to shoot the supply crate before moving on to something more important.

Shoot Other Containers As Well

On a related note, players might want to make a note of shooting the barrels, tanks, and other containers that can be found scattered throughout the setting. In part, this is because they explode, meaning that shooting them can be very satisfying from time to time. However, it should also be noted that these containers are often positioned in strategic locations such that when they are shot at the right times, they can take out entire clusters of enemies. Something that can be very useful when players are under threat of getting overwhelmed.

Stick with the Phoenix

There are more than a dozen vehicles that can be found in Rage 2. Naturally, each one has its own particular advantages and disadvantages, meaning that each one is better-suited for certain circumstances than others. However, players might want to stick with the very first vehicle called the Phoenix for the simple reason that it can be upgraded to make it more useful for them. On top of that, it is a very reliable option. This is because while it isn’t either the fastest or the slowest vehicle that can be found, it comes with the best weapons, thus making it that much better as a choice of ride in the post-apocalyptic landscape.

Don’t Bother with Going Offroad

It isn’t uncommon for people to head offroad in open-world games in order to get to their destination faster than by following the official road system. Unfortunately, that isn’t as good an option in Rage 2 as it might be in other open-world games because the landscape is filled with obstacles that will make offroad driving nothing but an exercise in frustration, meaning that it is best to stay on the roads for the most part. Even worse, this remains the case even once the player has unlocked the gyrocopter because while it is better for going offroad, it isn’t better enough to make going offroad worthwhile under most circumstances.

Towns Are Rich Sources of Information

Open-world settings are huge. Sometimes, this can make for wonderful exploration. Other times, well, suffice to say that this can make finding things rather difficult. Luckily, towns in Rage 2 are rich sources of information that can be tapped with relative ease. First, interested individuals should make sure to speak with everyone with a speech bubble over their head, which should point them in the right directions as well as fill in their Log in the process. Second, job boards are good places for players to pick up some new activities to do that will introduce them to the local landscape while making some money in the process. Third, there are intel traders in each of the towns. Their services won’t come for free. However, $250 for the location of an Ark Chest is more than worthwhile.

Keep Your Upgrades Up-to-Date

Upgrades are very important in Rage 2. In part, this is because upgrades mean unlocking new capabilities that can make the game much more enjoyable than otherwise possible. However, it should also be noted that those capabilities enable players to go through much more difficult enemies, thus opening up more of the map for them. As such, interested individuals should be very diligent when it comes to collecting the resources needed for these upgrades so that they can get as strong as possible as fast as possible.

Focus Your Upgrades

With that said, while players should be diligent about upgrading their weapons, they might want to focus their upgrades on the weapons that they use the most. This is because Rage 2 has a lot of weapons, meaning that it is going to take a lot of time for them to get everything fully upgraded. As a result, it just makes sense for interested individuals to play with every weapon to see what they like before choosing a small number of them to upgrade for the best results. Otherwise, it can be pretty frustrating to have various upgrades scattered over various weapons, including some that are no longer seeing regular use over the course of normal game-play.

Master Dash

There are various Nanotrite abilities that will provide the player with various degrees of usefulness. However, Dash might be the most useful out of the entire lot. After all, it is the single best way by which players can duck out of the way of oncoming danger, thus enabling them to persevere against their toughest opponents. This is particularly true when the player is expecting to take on giant enemies, which include a fair number with attacks that are difficult to dodge without good use of the Dash skill. Under these circumstances, it is clear that interested individuals might want to practice with Dash until they get a good feeling for how it can be used as well as when it should be used.
