The next release from the Resident Evil series will be Project Resistance, which will be a multiplayer game with a very strong asymmetrical element. In short, each round will see four players taking on the role of human survivors in a secret facility, while a fifth player will take on the role of the monster called Mastermind that is hunting them down.
The first group of players can win by cooperating with one another to explore the secret facility until they can come up with an exit for themselves. In contrast, the fifth player wins by killing their opponents. A Japanese beta is expected soon, but further release information is unknown at this point in time.
