Watch Final Fantasy XVI Trailer
It has been revealed that Square Enix is in the process of making the next main installment in the Final Fantasy series, meaning Final Fantasy XVI. Currently, there is something of a kerfuffle over which platforms it will be released upon, which is the product of confused messaging. So far, it seems that Final Fantasy XVI will be released as a PS5 exclusive for some time before being released for other platforms, with there being strong indication that the PC will be one of them.
Regardless, the reveal included both story and gameplay footage, which should come as welcome news for people who want a more comprehensive look at the upcoming title. However, time will tell whether Final Fantasy XVI will become an uncomplicated success. Something that cannot be said for its immediate predecessor, which sold well but was not seen in a positive light by the critics.
