What Is Persona 5 Royal? (Persona 5 Royal Cheats and Tips)
Persona 5 Royal is an enhanced re-release of Persona 5 for the PS4. As a result, it might interest people with a fondness for either the Persona series or other JRPG titles with social simulation elements.
What Are Some Tips for Persona 5 Royal?
Here are some tips that might prove useful:
Talk to Everyone (Persona 5 Royal Cheats and Tips)
RPGs being RPGs, it is a good idea to talk to everyone. After all, every conversation is a chance for a new item, a new insight, or a new mission. Of course, some players will find this frustrating, so in their case, it might be best to focus on the characters who have unique models because those are bound to be the most consequential.
Always Have a Book on You (Persona 5 Royal Cheats and Tips)
Players should always have a book on them. This is because there will sometimes be a lull in the school commute, which is a chance for some reading without eating up free time. Fortunately, interested individuals should have no problems getting their hands on a wide range of books, seeing as how they are available through bookstores, the school library, and even the completion of missions.
Having said this, it is important to note that a lot of players consider intentional reading to be suboptimal until July. Basically, most of the earlier books require not one but two reading sessions in exchange for just three social stat points, thus making reading less productive than, say, part-time jobs. However, July is when the school library starts lending out a book called “Speed Reading” that can double the player’s reading speed after just a single reading session. Something that will make reading much more competitive with the other options out there.
Don’t Bother with the Gear Store (Persona 5 Royal Cheats and Tips)
There is a gear store that can be found in Shibuya. However, there is no point to buying gear from the gear store because its selection is mediocre at best. Instead, if interested individuals want to upgrade, there is a simpler and much more straightforward option in the form of just looting the latest Palace. Never mind the other options for getting better gear such as itemizing Personas and using the laundromat. On top of this, buying gear from the gear store requires money that is much better spent elsewhere.
Some Confidants Are More Valuable than Others
It might be a bit cold. However, the fact of the matter is that some confidants provide better bonuses than others, meaning that interested individuals should prioritize them over their less useful counterparts.
For example, Tae Takemi is an excellent confidant because she offers SP-replenishing items. Since SP is more precious than HP in the Palaces, this makes SP-replenishing items very important to say the least. Eventually, Tae will offer an even better option in the form of accessories that come with passive SP generation. However, interested individuals shouldn’t buy them until they get the 50 percent discount, which won’t be too long in the future because it comes with the very next rank-up in the relationship. Likewise, Sadayo Kawakami is another excellent confidant. To an extent, this is because she can provide useful items as well as useful pieces of gear through her very affordable services. However, what makes Sadayo truly excellent is that this won’t eat up the player’s own valuable time, thus enabling them to get other things done.
Put On the Right Persona for the Right Confidant
Speaking of which, interested individuals are going to want to improve their relationships with their confidants however possible. After all, even small contributions add up over time, meaning that a small but habitual practice can mean the difference between ranking up in either one day or two days. Some of these methods are specific to a certain character. For instance, Sojiro Sakura likes it when the player brews their own coffee and makes their own curry at Cafe LeBlanc. However, there are other methods with more wide-ranging applications. In particular, it is worth mentioning that putting on a Persona of the same tarot as the confidant will increase the gains from spending time with them. This won’t be a huge increase, but considering the number of such interactions, it will matter in the long run.
Unlock Every Confidant
As mentioned earlier, it is important to prioritize the best confidants. However, interested individuals should still unlock every single one of the confidants sooner rather than later. This is useful because various confidants can show up in various events, thus making for bonus stat points and bonus relationship-building. As such, earlier unlocks mean being able to reap more benefits from these events over the course of the game.
Use Sakai
There are a number of limited time items that can be bought in Personal 5 Royal. The most famous would be the special bread from the school store on Fridays. However, another excellent example would be the Melon Pan from the bread store that can be found at Ginza Line Station. Some of these limited time items will remain useful throughout the game, whereas others will not. For the latter, the best solution is to trade them to a character named Sakai in exchange for a chance of getting better pieces of gear. Said individual can be found in the Kichijoji alley south of the incense store. Be warned that he is not marked on the map, which is unsurprising considering his shady nature.
Check Out the Vending Machines
It is useful to remember the locations of the vending machines. This is because each one can sell interested individuals four SP-replenishing items on a weekly basis, which will restock on Mondays. There will come a time when the player becomes less reliant on them because of their relatively low values. However, until that happens, interested individuals can use them to make further progress in the Palaces in each session than otherwise possible. Something that is very important because more progress means more exploration, which in turn, means more benefits.
Third Semester Palace
To unlock the third semester events (exclusive to Persona 5: Royal), reach Rank 9 for the Councilor Arcana by November 17th. If you are Rank 9 with Takuto Maruki on November 17th, you will automatically reach Rank 10 and some major endgame events will begin, including a new path to an optional final boss battle. If you are not Rank 9 with the Councilor Arcana, you will not experience anything new and just get the standard Persona 5 endgame scenario. The Councilor Arcana belongs to Takuto Maruki.
He is a new major character you can find in the school —- he appears in Shujin Academy after Kamoshida’s Palace is complete. The School Counselor is a fast friend, and eager to understand the cognitive psience behind the Phantom Thief phenomenon. Leveling up the Councilor Arcana improves your ability to randomly remove status effects or recover SP when you are low. The higher your Confidant rank, the more you will be able to recover. However, it is still random.
