What Is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla? (Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Cheats and Tips)
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the latest Assassin’s Creed title. As such, it is closer to Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey than the earlier installments in the long-running series. Given its name, it should come as no surprise to learn that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set in the Viking Age with Anglo-Saxon England being a place of particular importance.
What Are Some Tips for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?
Keep these tips in mind:
There Is a Setting for Guaranteed Assassination
Guaranteed assassination didn’t exist in either Assassin’s Creed Origins or Assassin’s Creed Odysseus. As a result, players did very little damage against much higher-level enemies even if they succeeded with a stealth attack. Something that the fans of earlier installments were less than enthused about. Guaranteed assassination is still not the way that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was meant to be played. However, it is now a setting that can be turned on and off.
Having said that, even if players choose to play with guaranteed assassination, they should still exercise a measure of caution. Yes, they will be able to kill every single enemy in the game with a successful stealth attack. However, the rest of their attacks will still do pitiful amounts of damage against much higher-level enemies, meaning that they need to run away for the purpose of reentering stealth whenever they get discovered. As such, some investment in stealth skills will be very useful for those who choose to play this way.
Some Skills Are More Useful than Others (Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Cheats and Tips)
Skills are classified as either Bear skills, Raven skills, or Wolf skills, which are colored red, yellow, and blue respectively. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Bear skills are useful for open combat. Meanwhile, Raven skills are focused on stealth with some trickery tossed in while Wolf skills are focused on ranged with some survivability tossed in. Players should experiment to see which skills suit them the most, particularly since they can reset their skills whenever they want with no cost whatsoever.
Having said that, some skills tend to be more useful than others, so interested individuals might want to check them out sooner rather than later. For example, Perfect Attack isn’t very exciting. However, it is one of the most useful Bear skills because it increases the damage when attacks are executed with the right timing, which is something that can add up very fast. Meanwhile, Light Bow Combo is powerful if players can land consecutive shots on the same target, while Heavy Dual Wield opens up a lot of new possibilities by letting interested individuals wield double-handed weapons with a single hand. Suffice to say that if players have ever wanted to dual-wield double-handed swords, this is the skill for them.
Moving on, useful Raven skills include but are not limited to Advanced Assassination, Brush with Death, and Missile Reversal. Advanced Assassination is a must-have for a stealth player because it enables one-hit stealth kills if they can pull off a quick-time event. Brush with Death is ridiculously good for open combat because it slows down time if the player can dodge just before an attack lands, which should be enough for them to get in two or three hits of their own. As for Missile Reversal, it is a very stylish way to counter ranged attackers, particularly since it does a huge amount of damage. Other Raven skills worth mentioning range from Chain Assassination to Guided Arrow and Counter Roll.
Naturally, there are some standout Wolf skills as well. One excellent example would be Sprint Attack, which is a great way to start a combo against ranged enemies. Another excellent example would be Grit, which lets interested individuals recover some of the health that they lose when they get hit by hitting their enemies with a melee weapon. Besides these, players can use Battleground Bolt to hit enemies from a distance, Hunter Bow Combo to shoot faster than otherwise possible, and Charged Shot to shoot tougher enemies with not one but two arrows at the same time.
You Cannot Craft Arrows (Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Cheats and Tips)
Players who are planning to shoot everything that they see should know that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has no crafting option for arrows. Even worse, arrows are not interchangeable between different kinds of bows. As a result, if players want to use a Hunter Bow, they are going to need Hunter Arrows. Similarly, the use of Predator Bows requires Predator Arrows while the use of Light Bows requires Light Arrows.
Thanks to this, interested individuals should adopt a couple of simple habits to keep their quivers well-stocked. First, they should be looting arrows whenever and wherever possible. Generally speaking, arrows can be found in the same places where players can find ranged enemies, which is to say, towers and the like. If interested individuals are struggling to find loot, they should use Odin’s Sight to highlight everything of importance, thus ensuring that they won’t miss anything useful. Second, there is a chance that a used arrow will be recoverable, meaning that players should always check when they have killed something with their bow. This can be an inconvenience. However, this will ensure that they always have something that they can shoot out when they need to do so.
On a related note, the scarcity of arrows is the reason that players will want to upgrade their quiver using iron ore and leather sooner rather than later. After all, a bigger quiver means that they will be able to collect more arrows, which in turn, means a smaller chance that they will run out of ammunition so long as they aren’t being too wasteful while shooting.
Buy Upgrade Materials (Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Cheats and Tips)
It is possible for interested individuals to collect a fair amount of upgrade materials by just running around. However, as they get later and later into the game, they are going to find that upgrades get more and more expensive, so much so that this single source of upgrade materials can’t keep up. To supplement it, players should buy upgrade materials from the shops whenever the chance presents itself, particularly since they have plenty of ways to earn more silver.
Getting Excalibur
The Excalibur (a Greatsword) is one of the best weapons in the game. It is found in Myrddin’s Cave in Hamtunscire. To unlock Excalibur, you must first find 11 Tablets (8 from Treasures of Britain, 3 from Zealots).
Step 1: Complete all 8 Treasures of Britain. They count as Mysteries and have blue dots on the world map. They are cave platforming sections that lead to the Tablets at the end.
Step 2: Get the Tablets from 3 specific Zealots: Woden, Heike, and Hrothgar. The Zealots ride around certain areas. Since they move around, they do not have fixed locations, but they always stick to a particular path in a specific territory. They only ride on roads, never in the wilderness. Just ride along all roads near their shown locations or stand still and wait for them to ride by. It is just a bit random and requires some patience. A helmet icon will appear on the radar when they are within 300 meters.
Step 3: Go to Myrddin’s Cave in Hamtunscire. At the end of this cave (after some platforming sections), there is a stone circle where you place the 11 Tablets. This makes the Excalibur Sword appear between the stone circle. You can then draw Excalibur from the stone and get the “Caladfwlch” trophy.
Getting Mjolnir (Thor’s Hammer) and Thor’s armor set
To get Thor’s Hammer, you must first get his full armor set (five pieces) and complete the main story. Complete the following steps to get Thor’s full armor set and Mjolnir.
Step 1: Defeat the three Sisters Of Lerion (3/5 Thor’s armor pieces).
Step 2: Collect Thor’s Helmet (East Anglia Cave – 4/5 Thor’s armor pieces). Use the three daggers the Sisters Of Lerion dropped on the underground statue at the following location (East Anglia region) to open a staircase to a Wealth Chest containing Thor’s helmet. You will also get the “Godly Reward” trophy.
Step 3: Get Thor’s Cape (reward from Hytham for defeating all Order Of The Ancients members – 5/5 Thor’s armor pieces).
Step 4: Collect Thor’s Hammer in the north of Norway (can only be reached after completing the story; must wear full Thor armor set to obtain Thor’s Hammer).
Recommended skills
The following five skills are recommended to unlock as quickly as possible in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. Note: You can respec you skills at any time.
Auto-Loot: You do not have to keep press a button to collect loot from bodies. You will automatically collect everything when you walk over bodies.
Breakfall: This automatically causes your character to roll when jumping from a high place, making fall damage negligible.
Counter Roll: This is the only way to counter Rune Attacks. Counter Roll allows you to vault over an enemy preparing a Rune Attack and strike them from behind.
Dual Heavy Weapons: This allows you to easily wield two heavy weapons at the same time. Your heavy attacks are much quicker, and your special attacks can unleash tornados of destruction, easily wiping out entire groups of enemies.
Missile Reverse: This allows you to catch and throw back arrows, making it possible to deal with archers quickly in combat.
All Order Of The Ancients and Zealots locations
Search the indicated locations to find all Order Of The Ancients and Zealots in the following order: Zealots from top left to bottom left — top right to bottom right. Then the inner members from left — top left — top right — right — bottom. It is recommended to first play through the story since 13 Order Of The Ancient Members are story-related. Completing the story is also required to make The Father (leader) accessible. Additionally, try to get the clues for each Order Member, which is also shown in this video guide. Once you have the clues, you can track them from the “Order” menu, and it will mark their exact location.
They are then very easy to find. Without the clues, they are nearly impossible to differentiate from other people, and they also tend to walk around a little. None of the Ancients or Zealots are missable. Your story choices will not void any of them and you can still find them after the story in free roam. Complete the story first, and then follow the video order (do the 15 Zealots first). The Zealots unlock the first clue for the inner members. Zealots ride around on horses, but they follow scripted paths on the roads. They only ride on roads, never in the wild. Just go to their shown location, open the map to check for the white zealot icon (appears when they are within 300 meters). If no icon shows them nearby, wait in the middle of the road until they come by. They will automatically start combat when they see you. It may take a while (like 20 minutes) until some of them come by. You can also try riding around the area within a 1,000 meter radius of the shown spawn point, as they stick close to a specific area.
All Treasures Of Britain locations
Search the indicated locations to find all eight Treasures Of Britain, which are a sub-type of mystery collectible. They are cave sections that require some platforming and environmental puzzles.
