Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge Trailer
Nostalgia is a powerful force in the entertainment industries. Sometimes, this results in nothing but regurgitation. Other times, this produces something much more interesting. For instance, it has been revealed that there is a new title called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge in the works, which is very much reminiscent of the first cartoon series that started up in the late 1980s and continued until the mid 1990s. Something that shaped a lot of people’s impression of the franchise to say the least.
In any case, Shredder’s Revenge has been confirmed to be a side-scrolling beat ’em up. This makes sense because the first cartoon series resulted in two similar arcade games called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in 1989 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle: Turtles in Time in 1991. However, what is most encouraging is that Shredder’s Revenge is being made by Tribute Games, which has former Ubisoft employees who were involved in the making of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game.
Unfortunately, much has remains unknown at this point in time. We know that Shredder’s Revenge will be released for both PC and consoles but not which consoles. Similarly, we know to expect Bebop, Rocksteady, Krang, and Shredder in iconic locations but nothing more specific than that. As such, interested individuals should keep a watchful eye out for further information to come out.
