Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS. MaxiBoost ON Cheats

Unlock Scene 9 in Branch Battle

Each of the branches, A through F, have a secret final mission that can only be challenged once two specific conditions are met. They are as follows:

1 – You must have a total score of 600,000 or more after defeating the Extreme Gundam Mk-II AXE in Scene 8.
2 – You cannot use any continues.

After winning Scene 8 you will be transported to Scene 9 instead of the credits scroll. There you will face one of two bosses (chosen at random) from one of the prequel Extreme VS games: either a boss from Full Boost (PS3), or a boss from Maxiboost (arcade only). Each branch has a different pair of bosses. The exception is Scene-9E in which only one boss is possible.

Defeating any of the bosses will yield its figurine for your gallery.

Easier path to Scene 9 (Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS. MaxiBoost ON Cheats)

Having trouble racking up the 600,000 points needed to get to Scene 9? Blowing it with a loss halfway through? Here’s a strategy to help ease your frustration.

Go to branch battle options. Set the difficulty to 1 and the damage to 8. This will allow you to rack up kills on relatively dumb AI. Also, always remember to set your AI partner to “Evade” so that you can get credit for all the kills.

Now to branch battle. You want to follow the scene path of 1-D regular, then 2-D Ex, then 3-E Ex. If you did well enough in those first 3 missions you should now be sent to the E-branch Ex Bonus scene. You know you’re in the right one because you will have an inactive target flanked by infinitely-respawning 3000 cost mobile suits. Ignore the target and start racking up as many kills as you can on the other enemies within the time limit.

From this bonus mission you can traverse your way to your Scene-8 of choice. You should have plenty of score to get Scene-9.

Easy way to get the Jegan figurine (Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS. MaxiBoost ON Cheats)

The Jegan seems to be a bit of a pain for people to collect, and it is often the last figurine needed for the trophy. If you are struggling with this, here’s a strategy to help you out.

Go to branch battle options. Set the difficulty to 1 and the damage to 8. This will allow you to rack up kills on relatively dumb AI. Also, always remember to set your AI partner to “Evade” so that you can get credit for all the kills. Try to never get shot down as this will negatively impact your score.

Now go to branch battle. Do the following path while making sure to kill everything you can in every scene: 1A regular, 2A regular, 3B Ex. If you did well enough, the game will take you to the B-branch Ex Bonus mission (this has the Throne Drei as the target instead of the Zaku III). The two active mobile suits will be a Ball and a Jegan. Shoot down a Jegan and complete the scene for the figurine.

How to deal with Divinidad’s funnel storm (Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS. MaxiBoost ON Cheats)

So you’re trying to S-Rank that one mission where you’re locked into the X3 Crossbone Gundam and you have to fight Divinidad. You’re doing well, you’re going to get that S-Rank no problem, and then Divinidad uses that awful funnel storm move that looks like a swarm of angry hornets. Try as you might, no amount of boosting seems to dodge that attack as you woefully kiss S-Rank goodbye.

Here’s the trick to handling the funnel storm: block (press Down then Up on the d-pad or stick) instead of dodge. The funnel storm is a highly telegraphed move. Divinidad will always cross its arms right before firing it at you. When you see those arms cross, face towards Divinidad and start blocking. You can keep holding Up to stay blocking at the cost of draining your boost gauge. You should have just enough boost gauge to block the entire swarm-like salvo.
