Expeditions: Rome Has Been Released

Source

Expeditions: Rome has been released for the PC. For those who are unfamiliar, this is the latest in a series of tactical RPGs, having been preceded by a game focused on Spanish conquistadors as well as a game focused on Norse vikings. In any case, Expeditions: Rome is set in the late Roman Republic, which saw the Romans cementing their control of the Mediterranean world in between fighting themselves. As such, it was very much a time of legends.

God of War Has Been Released for the PC

Source

God of War has been out for some time. In fact, its follow-up is expected to come out at some point in 2022. However, God of War itself has just been released for the PC, which is another example of Sony’s relatively new willingness to let exclusives be released on that platform after a suitable period of time. It is much the same as its console counterpart, though it should be mentioned that it is said to be a very smooth port with some extra visual capabilities. Neither of which are always guaranteed.

Monster Hunter Rise Has Been Released for the PC

Source

Monster Hunter World popularized the long-running series for an international audience. As such, its follow-up Monster Hunter Rise is expected to build upon that success. The console version has been out for some time. Now, the PC version is out as well, thus expanding its player base that much more. The new title contains some significant improvements upon its predecessor, with an excellent example being how interested individuals can now bring both a cat-like Palico and a dog-like Palamute on their hunts.

Pupperazzi Has Been Released for PC and Xbox Consoles

Source

Pupperazzi is now available to interested individuals through Steam, the Epic Game Store, and the Xbox Game Pass. It is pretty much exactly what it sounds like, which is to say, all about taking photos of the titular pooches. The game seems to have some issues, but it could be an amusing way to spend some time for people who enjoy photography games with a cartoony look.

Shadow Man Remastered Has Been Released for Consoles

Source

Shadow Man is quite old. For proof, look no further than the fact that it was made for the Nintendo 64 by Acclaim Entertainment, which hasn’t been a thing since the early 2000s. Still, the voodoo superhero-themed action-adventure game was received well enough in its own time, so much so that it has managed to outlive the company that created it. After all, Nightdive Studios did a re-release of the game in 2013. Something that seemed to have been successful enough for it to bother making a remastered version with improved visuals as well as restored content. The result called Shadow Man Remastered has been out for the PC for some time. However, the console versions have just been released as of January of 2022.

Total War: Warhammer III Marketing Reveals the Daemon Prince

Source

Creative Assembly is getting ready to release Total War: Warhammer III, which is meant to be the culmination of the strategy mini-series. It features both the Eastern Europe-inspired Kislev and the China-inspired Cathay, each of which has two playable factions. Furthermore, it features four Daemon factions pledged to the four Chaos Gods.

However, the ninth playable faction wasn’t revealed until very recently. Pretty much everyone guessed that it would be some kind of Chaos Undivided faction, meaning that it would be able to recruit units from every single one of the Daemon factions. Amusingly, no one managed to guess the leader of the ninth playable faction because it turned out that he wouldn’t be a preexisting character from the Warhammer Fantasy Battle setting. Instead, the just-revealed Daemon Prince is an original character that interested individuals will be able to customize to their liking by using hundreds and hundreds of potential parts. Something that should make for a much more personal feel than otherwise possible.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus Set to Come Out on January 28 of 2022

Source

The Pokemon franchise has been around for about two and a half decades. Still, the basic formula for the main games has remained much the same throughout. There are those who believe this to be a good thing. After all, there are plenty of franchises that have stumbled when trying to keep themselves relevant with very unfortunate consequences for their ability to keep going. However, there are also plenty of people who have been clamoring for something new for years and years. Pokemon Legends: Arceus might be what they have been looking for.

In short, Pokemon Legends: Arceus is an actual, no-kidding action RPG. It is set in the Sinnoh region, but so long ago that said region is still called the Hisui region, thus making it both familiar and unfamiliar. In fact, it is amusing to note that while there are still Pokeballs in the game, they seem to puff steam when they are in use. In any case, it is now possible to catch Pokemon without engaging in a Pokemon battle. However, Pokemon battles are still very possible, particularly since certain Pokemon species are noticeably more aggressive towards humans than others. Pokemon Legends: Arceus has already been leaked even though it hasn’t been officially released, so if interested individuals are curious, well, suffice to say that there is no shortage of information.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Has Been Released for PC and Consoles

Source

Nowadays, Yu-Gi-Oh! is a long-running trading card game in its own right. As such, it should come as no surprise to learn that it has had a lot of video games over the course of two decades and counting. However, the newly-released Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel seems to be one of the better-received ones, seeing as how it has become one of the most popular games on Steam. Interested individuals should know that this is similar to a lot of other trading card games that have gone digital in recent years, meaning that they will be able to play free-of-charge but will also be able to increase their collection by paying for booster packs. For those who are feeling nostalgic, this makes it very easy to check out to see if it has managed to capture something of the franchise’s old magic.
