Gamedec Cheats and Tips
Review Skill Costs
Part of being a good detective is having a diverse skill set. As you progress through the game, you’ll earn a lot of different points which you can put towards certain skills. The skills are split based on what areas they focus on, but each one can cover a variety of scenarios.
You’ll need skills in order to make more options available to you when undertaking tasks or trying to convince people. However, skills are not earned through level-ups, but through purchasing. Make sure you look at the cost of each skill, so you can adjust your point-earning accordingly.
Examine Everything
This game works much like a point-and-click adventure game where there are lots of points of interest. Priority spots are usually highlighted with icons depicting various symbols, but also some are more subtle. Whenever you arrive in a new area, make sure you do a full sweep. Go up to any object and spot that looks like it could hide something and interact with it.
Depending on the symbol, you have direct interactions, such as the Eye meaning examination, a Gear offering technical work, and a Speech Bubble for talking. Like objects, many characters will require you to get close to them before you talk to them.
Save Frequently
Being a game about investigations, you’ll be led down divergent paths. As you examine things and talk to people, new things will reveal themselves. Even having conversations with people can change what paths will be available later on. Also, as you proceed through the case, you’ll need to make some very important decisions that can completely change future outcomes.
Some choices can be very different from each other and although the game has auto-save, it’s not enough. The game has a lot of empty save slots and you can save almost anytime you want so if you sense something big coming up, save.
Gather A LOT Of Clues
This goes without saying, but when it comes to investigating, you need as much information as possible. This takes the form of clues that you can find during gameplay. Any type of interaction can yield a clue from looking at a computer to a quick passing comment.
Cases are broken up into steps based on where you are, with some being more complex than others. To help with your decision-making, you’ll need as many clues as you can find in order to make the most reasonable deduction. Don’t move forward until you’ve gathered as much as you can.
