No matter what courses your college provides, you will need a Lecture Theatre before anything else. Then, you’ll need speciality classrooms, including a Science Lab for Scientography (yeah, that) and a VR Lab for Virtual Normality. Nostalgic lessons for us all.
Next, facilities, are on the menu. Toilets, showers, and a dormitory to keep students happy. Water coolers and snack machines will also help. After all of that is done, you can slap down the all-important Library.
These are the buildings you need first, in this order:
Lecture Theatre.
Classroom.
Toilet .
Shower.
Dormitory.
Library.
Space efficiency
Buying up plots of land is one of the most money-intensive activities you can engage in here, so you need to make very smart use of the space available to you. Outdoor spaces are nice, but not if you’re lacking an essential building. On the other hand, you’ll also need to expand your buildings over time – probably, anyway. Students will often need new objects in the rooms, or desks, or bookcases. You’ll need the space for these, of course, and managing your available space is a huge concern.
Happiness is success
In order to have a successful college, you need successful students. For you, that means making results a priority, and if you want good results, you need the students to be happy. For a solid, stable university, try to have your happiness meter on the UI over 70% at all times. Better Student Unions and Lounges will also help.
Eat, poop, shower, repeat
What else is the key to happiness? Why, bodily functions, of course. You should have snack machines, toilets, and showers available in multiple places all across your campus in order to meet the needs of students at all times.
Money talks
When the money starts rolling in it can be tempting to splash it all on those nice buildings and features you’ve been eyeing, but students will soon require more expensive tools and items in order to fulfill their academic needs. When these issues arise, you best not be broke.
Academic requests
Academic requests will drain your cash, but are essential for those results. Fulfill as many academic requests as you can for a successful college. You really do not want to ignore these, as they will stack up fast.
Room and staff upgrades
Buildings and teachers are two of the most essential components of a good college, and you need to upgrade them regularly. Enhancing the abilities of your staff and the buildings they teach in will increase the efficiency of your college, and deliver even better results. Don’t ignore these upgrades.
