Cursed to Golf Cheats and Tips
Your Par Is Your Health
Cursed to Golf is a roguelike and there is a health system but not in a traditional sense. Players have to finish an entire course based on the remaining Pars they have left. This meter can be replenished by hitting silver or gold statues in the golfing dungeons. This is explained in the tutorial but there is another way to heal this cursed golfer. Certain cards can replenish Par points and act like potions like in RPGs. There are a few cards that can do this, so stocking up is a good way to strategize.
Shop Recommendations
Players begin at a shop in their roguelike runs but they can’t purchase anything right away. Money is accumulated after getting the ball in the hole and moving on. Shops will randomize their stock of cards, which is pretty much the only thing players can buy. Here’s a hot tip that isn’t explained though.
There is a binder in the shop that doesn’t cost money to use. Players can empty their entire card decks into this thing and these cards will carry over until players decided to take them out in successive runs. This binder can hold forty cards, so, to beat the first big course it might be a good idea to stockpile forty cards and then get serious.
Birdie View Is Key
The basic line of sight is limited when teeing off at a hole. However, the Birdie view will allow players to analyze the entire stage. Look out for potential secrets, like dynamite blasting areas, and plan a route. The nice thing about Cursed to Golf is that each hole should have multiple ways to tackle the hole which is not surprising for the roguelike genre. Take into account hazards, idols, and other things when trying to decide the best way to get that ball back home.
Don’t Be Afraid To Go Against Club Recommendations
Like most golf games, Cursed to Golf will automatically select what the AI thinks is the best club for the job. This is not always the wisest club to use though as there are other ways to play. For example, when on the rough grass, the iron club will be selected. If there is a hole or other potential opportunity nearby, it might be worth using the wedge club instead. The overall tip is to not be afraid to experiment. There is a practice card players can acquire in their deck that allows for such experimentation. Testing out multiple clubs on the same patch of grass could create some mind-blowing results.
Look At The Route Ahead
Similar to other roguelikes, this game allows players to pick multiple routes in the golfing dungeons. One path may be more lucrative with loot while another may have more holes to play through. Players should take the route based on how much money they have as well as how much Par they have left. If the Par count is low then it might be best to dive into the next hole. If players have a bunch of money to spend and are in high health, then choosing the path with the closest shop is a good strategy too. Also, don’t forget about the card binding tip to use in shops.
