God of War Glitches

Chaos Flame Exploit

So the first time you reach Helheim, you have to kill the (gate/bridge)-keeper to get his heart. Defeating the keeper also grants you a Chaos Flame – The resource which is used to upgrade your second weapon(and the only one useful in Helheim), The Blades Of Chaos. To use this exploit to gain the maximum number of Chaos Flame to fully upgrade your blades, it is recommended to turn off Auto-save, and manually save the game just before you hop down the ice ledge and engage in battle with the Keeper. After defeating and killing him, Kratos will rip off his heart, and have a small chat with Mimir. Just after that, a Chaos Flame will pop up on the ground as reward for your battling feat. Pick it up, then pause your game. Go to settings and re-load your game from where you manually saved it. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, reload your game from the last checkpoint. Always re-load it manually from the manual save you made before the fight. The game will put you back right at the near end of your fight with the keeper. A single strike on his body will stun him, and you need to press R3 to finish him again. The sequence of the heart getting ripped out, and Kratos rambling about Zeus will play again.
A Chaos Flame will pop up, and you need to pick it up again. The only difference being that the resource index tab will show that you have two of them in possession instead of just one. Repeat the above step of manually reloading your game and fighting off the keeper, until you have 4 Chaos Flames(the max. you can carry). This can get a bit boring and repetitive, but the reward is worth it. Once you have 4 Flames in your possession, enable Auto-save and continue playing the game as usual, until you reach back Midgard. Once there, visit Brok’s shop, and upgrade your blades directly to level 5, without having any resource crunch for the Flames. This will increase Kratos’s current level, and unlock all the skills for your Blade, which you can then purchase using the XP you gather throughout the campaign. There, simple as that! Happy Hacking(pun intended) and Slashing!

Experience/money exploit

This works anywhere in the game, with any goal, and, as of this writing, on 1.33, the latest version.

Get any goal as close to complete as you can without completing it (1 away will be the fastest experience). Save your game and find a battle so it will autosave around that point. Complete your goal in the fight without killing everything so it won’t autosave again. Now just load checkpoint. You will keep whatever experience you gained from conpleting your goal(s) but be placed back before they were completed. Save every so often just in case because if you accidentally do something to trigger another autosave after the goal completes, it will ruin the exploit for that goal. If you have a couple of the higher experience goals you can do, you can earn 100k+ a minute this way. With the experience to money item, it becomes a nice money exploit.

Forbidden Grip of the Ages

There is a secret pommel in the game which now can be found after good guys deciphered runes on the map from the limited edition of God of War.

In order to find the handle you need to get access to the Muspelheim Tower (the south one on the lake) and to position Kratos in the middle of the floor circle.

Now you need to position the camera straight and to do the following:

Look at the Tyr’s Temple > left brazier > Temple > right brazier > left brazier.

If done right you will hear a gong sound. But you need to continue with the following:

Look at the Temple > down > right brazier > left brazier > Temple.

After that you will hear the second gong and you will see a realm tear in front of you where you can pick the pommel.

It is not the very best one in the game but it boosts all of your stats and can be pretty handy for some time.
You will also get a purple wave attack at the end of R1 combo.
