Be Sure To Regularly Stabilize
Staying alive is a particularly important aspect of Citizen Sleeper. Obviously, death is typically a bad thing in most RPGs and should definitely be avoided if possible. Luckily, there is a mechanism that allows players to stay alive for a bit longer.
That’s the act of stabilizing. It’s initially given to the player by Sabine for free, so it is easy for beginners to think they will be able to easily access this vital element. Specialize In One Thing
When initially starting Citizen Sleeper, the player has the opportunity to choose from a variety of classes, each with its own specializations and perks. This is a tough decision by itself, but it’s worth looking at the Operator or Machinist unless players feel like they want to use brute strength. The Operator and Machinist classes are the most beginner-friendly and will have their uses throughout the game in non-violent confrontations.

It can be easy to just stick with locations the player is comfortable with, but expanding one’s knowledge and exploring more aspects of the ship will introduce new storylines, NPCs, quests and so much more. It’s worth being careful of the situations players find themselves in, but nothing good will come if players just sit in the same place for the whole game.
Exploration will also unlock different locations which all have tasks to complete. So, if the player finds themselves a little bored or eager for a change, look around and find something new to see and experience.
Finish Scenes Before Ending A Cycle
Few things are more frustrating than wanting to end the cycle, only to be refused because there is still an active scene that needs to be finished. However, that will be a quick tell as to what the player needs to do before getting to the point they need to be. All that the player needs to do is finish the conversation they were meant to have with another character.
Simply look at the map, find the unfinished conversation, and finish it up. If the cycle ever refuses to finish, this is likely the problem.
Money Matters
As it typically goes with interplanetary capitalist experiences, money is one of the most important aspects of the game. Luckily, there are ways to create a steady stream of income with relatively few issues.
This is where the importance of specializing in certain aspects of the player’s class comes in. Look for jobs that work with the players’ specific specialization. This will grant the player a higher chance of success within that specific job, meaning they will be more likely to get promotions and more money. It’s important to always have a bit of money left over as players go through the game.
